Happy Tulsi Vivah 2020: According to the Hindu calendar, Tulsi marriage takes place on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Shaligram and Tulsi are married on this day. Shaligram is a replica of Lord Vishnu.

Unhappy with being deceived by Lord Vishnu and disconnected from her husband, Vrinda cursed Srihari that his wife will also be deceived by deceit and you will have to bear the wife's disconnection. For this you have to be born on earth. After giving this curse Vrinda became Sati. The basil plant grew at that place. Sita haran due to curse in Ramavatar and Shriram's wife tolerates disconnection. Another Methological Story states that Vrinda cursed Lord Vishnu to be a stone due to his ruthless behavior. Because of this, Lord Vishnu is worshiped in the form of Shaligram.
